Dora Țoc, M.A. – Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapist & Coach
Dora Țoc is a licensed clinical psychologist, certified cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist, and personal development coach. In her practice, she brings a rare blend of academic excellence, therapeutic depth, and real-world human expertise to her private practice and organizational work. She is currently practicing at the Mental Training Psychology Center in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Education and Professional Development
Dora holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, complemented by an Erasmus+ academic exchange at the University of Valencia in Spain. Her academic background also includes research on psychological variables in children with chronic illnesses, which led her to complete internships in both pediatric oncology and adult psychiatry at leading hospitals in Cluj.
She is currently finalizing her clinical supervision in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), an evidence-based method focused on identifying and restructuring irrational beliefs and behaviors. Additionally, Dora integrates tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy in her sessions, tailoring each intervention to the unique needs of the client.
Therapeutic Style and Philosophy
In therapy, Dora takes a humanistic, spiritual, and positive approach. Her work is deeply grounded in Christian values and influenced by logotherapy, a meaning-centered approach developed by Viktor Frankl. This perspective allows her to help clients not only resolve their emotional distress but also discover a deeper sense of purpose, identity, and connection.
She has experience working with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, emotional regulation issues, low self-esteem, and existential crises. Dora supports individuals through cognitive restructuring, emotional processing, and behavioral optimization — always with empathy, patience, and trust in the client’s capacity for growth.
Work Beyond the Clinic
In addition to her clinical practice, Dora has worked in human resources, teaching, operations, and project management roles over the past five years. This exposure has given her strong insight into how psychology applies to organizational life, team dynamics, and leadership development.
She is also actively involved in volunteer work and church activities, where she finds opportunities to combine her professional skills with her spiritual calling. Dora’s mission is to change the world for the better — through both science and faith — by sharing evidence-based practices and God’s Word.
Personal Life and Aspirations
In her free time, Dora enjoys skiing, swimming, reading, and traveling abroad. She is passionate about Christian discipleship and aims to make the Scriptures accessible to more people, acting as a guide for those unfamiliar with Christianity or spiritual growth.
